Inspiring Outdoor Learning Courses

We deliver practical and popular courses aimed at school staff and outdoor professionals who work with schools and early years settings. Here's the sort of feedback we receive:

"The day spent with Juliet and Penny has had a noticeable effect on outdoor learning here already. We have classes out every day using the playground for literacy and numeracy and the upper school staff are in the final stages of organising woodland visits. Everyone is having a go and so far everyone, especially the children, are enjoying it. The staff have all completed the class audit to give us a baseline and we look forward to seeing a big difference in what we do by next year. Thank you for such a useful and motivational day." DHT, Torbain Primary School, Fife.

Often it is a challenge for settings to find high quality courses which can be delivered on-site or at a nearby establishment. Our courses are carefully designed to ensure participants:
  • Feel inspired and motivated to take children outside more often
  • Gain practical ideas and reflect on their own practice
  • Develop their understanding of learning and teaching processes outdoors
  • Have opportunities to consider learning in the school grounds and local neighbourhood
We have separate courses for early years and primary schools but on the same themes.  This enables schools and local authorities to ensure continuity and progression across the sectors. Great for transition arrangements!
