If a class is going outside in all weathers then it is worth looking at ways of dealing with the mud. Any advice from the P7 class? I'm interested to know.

Robyn - I really sympathise. This is a problem for many people in that one size is too small and the next size up is too large. I wonder if there is a design issue here... expandable sleeves. Again, your comments are making me feel that clothing manufacturers need to rethink what they are offering...

Hmm! Food for thought!
Larger sizing is also too long for me.

We discussed the mud issue! A couple of P7s seemed to be magnetically attracted to some muddy areas which were particularly muddy by Wed! They have been told not to intentionally get muddy now! The rest have been very sensible and have loved playing outside in very heavy rain. Next week we are getting the younger ones involved and organising a fashion show to find out style and colour preferences.

It looks like you are continuing to thoroughly test the clothing. I look forward to seeing what your buddies in the younger classes think too...

For all of you - please remember that you do not need to use the footstraps on trousers - some makes will allow for these to be removed, others can just be tucked inside the trouser leg.

Next, remember that over trousers are designed to go over the welly boot and not tucked inside. If tucked inside the welly, water and mud can run down the waterproof trouser and into the welly and onto your feet.

1) Belle - please refer to the advice in the previous paragraphs - thanks for helping raise awareness of this matter.

2) Robyn - slowly but surely patterns are making an entrance onto children's outdoor clothing. In a few years time this will be less of an issue. Do you think wearing a larger size of jacket would have helped with the sleeve issue?

3) Sophie - perhaps dungarees would be better to wear to avoid the gap between the trousers and the jacket. Apologies for the colour - I chose very garish colours quite deliberately because I was sick of navy, red and blue. The Elka website has lots more different colours.

4) Katie - the orange colour is on the gross side. I thought it would be more orangey and less gross - that's a chance I took, just ordering direct from the Internet. Sigh!

5) Leon - what very polite feedback. I hope your arms dried out and warm up when you got home.

6) i love 1D Hmm... I think you've made a great point here - if you really really want to get wet you will and different people will all test the clothes out in different ways. (Thanks for the explanation of your pseudonym - I didn't realise that One Direction had shortened their name like this. Very clever)

7) Katie - Now that's another good observation. Yes - this is rain gear not mud gear. I don't think mud gear exists. What a funny thought.

Thanks again everyone.

Best wishes
